On-Site Support Staff
Each of our sober living houses is staffed with a house manager that lives on-site. Our men’s apartment complex in Austin, Texas is also staffed 24/7. Your safety, comfort, and wellness is our top priority and we believe that providing on-site support staff is an essential part of making sure you and your family feel comfortable throughout the duration of your transitional living program.
Family Support
Healing and recovery is a family process and we recognize the importance of family support and inclusion during this process. Once you are enrolled in a Eudaimonia sober living program, your family will be initiated into our Accountability and Monitoring Program. This means your Program Coordinator will regularly communicate with your family members to discuss your progress throughout the program and answer questions as needed. Your family members will also receive monthly progress reports. This provides peace of mind and improves communication between you and your family while you’re enrolled in a sober living program.
Re-adjusting to daily life after rehab can be difficult and the first few months and years of recovery is a very vulnerable time. Eudaimonia is proud to provide a comprehensive recovery program that bridges the gap between rehab and reentry into society and provides the essential recovery support services necessary to maintain sobriety and live a fulfilling life in recovery.
With flexible scheduling, this program allows you to maintain work, family, or school responsibilities while still receiving structured support.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What should I look for in a sober‑living home?
Look for a clean, well‑run, drug‑free environment with clear house rules, peer support, and reliable structure (curfews, meetings, testing). Touring the home, asking about staff training, and speaking with former residents can help you gauge quality.
How is a sober‑living home different from a halfway house?
Halfway houses are often time‑limited or justice‑system connected; sober‑living homes are community‑based housing that supports sober routines with accountability and peer support, without acting as a clinical treatment program.
Do sober‑living homes provide therapy or bill insurance?
Sober‑living homes focus on safe housing and accountability—not clinical therapy or medical care—so they typically don’t bill insurance. Therapy/IOP services happen through licensed providers and can be coordinated alongside sober living.
How long should I stay in sober living?
Many programs recommend at least 90 days, with some residents choosing longer to solidify routines and support networks. The “right” length depends on your goals and what keeps you stable.
Do sober‑living homes have staff or a live‑in house manager?
Yes—well‑run homes have on‑site leadership. At Eudaimonia, every home has a live‑in house manager, and our men’s apartment community in Austin is staffed 24/7 for added safety and support.
How often are drug tests done in sober living—and why?
Frequency varies by home, but random testing is common because it protects the community and reinforces recovery goals. National guidance notes recovery housing may use testing to monitor abstinence and maintain safety.
Are there LGBTQ‑friendly sober‑living options?
Yes—LGBTQ‑affirming homes create safer spaces with peers who share lived experience. Eudaimonia offers dedicated LGBTQ housing options as part of our inclusive, recovery‑focused approach.
How does Eudaimonia keep families in the loop?
We view recovery as a family process. Once enrolled, your family is included in our Accountability & Monitoring Program, which provides regular coordinator communication and monthly progress reports.
