Our Intensive Outpatient Program IOP provides treatment in safe, productive group settings as well as individually. What gets discussed? We know that the first few months of recovery can be hard. Moving to a new city or a sober living home can be stressful and challenging. If you’re local, our Austin sober living homes overview explains housing + IOP fit.
Many of us at Eudaimonia have been in your shoes and we understand how you feel. In an effort to ease the transition, we provide the following individual therapeutic services to all residents of our Eudaimonia transitional housing program.
Psychiatry
Moving to a new city or state often comes with many challenges. One of these is starting medical care with a new doctor. In most cases, individuals seeking a continuum of recovery care in the Austin, Texas area are transitioning from other cities or states. If you received medication while at a rehab center, continue taking it after you leave.
Being a new resident of a city or state can make establishing a relationship with a doctor difficult. To help with the transition, Eudaimonia Recovery Homes uses Dr. Fredric Wilson’s services. He can assist you in your recovery process, with or without medication.
Dr. Wilson will keep you on your prescribed medication and psychiatric care. This will continue during your sober living program.
In addition to managing your prescribed medication, Dr. Wilson can also provide integrated treatment of coexisting disorders such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders to help you manage the stressors associated with transitioning from rehab into a sober living environment or intensive outpatient program.
