Sober Home – Reincarnate in a New Way
Sober homes are houses, often run by organizations such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Al-Anon, where people can stay for a short period to help recover from alcoholism or drug addiction. These residences often provide a safe environment for treatment and can be used as transitional housing before moving into more permanent housing in a sober community. The benefits of staying in such residences vary depending on the individual’s needs at the time but may include access to a support network, counseling and 12-step programs, professional guidance in relapse prevention, or substance abuse treatment plans with the goal of eventually living independently in their own home again.
